3. instructions for inflating the Boat
Unfold the boat. Insert the base board into the bottom of the
boat (26) to reinforce the bottom of the boat.
Install 4 stainless steel fixtures behind the mirror (19): Attach
the stainless steel fixture on the front of the mirror with the
reinforcement using the longer screw (35mm) with the smaller
washer (8x24mm). Fasten all stainless steel fixtures to the mi-
rror in this manner - refer to detail D. Then, insert the stainless
steel fixtures on the mirror into the fixtures on the cylinder (20)
and fasten using the shorter screws (16 mm) with the bigger
washer (10x30mm) – refer to detail E.
Attach the splashguard with the rope (22) into the splashguard
fixtures (21).
Fasten the wooden seat (9), using the screws and plastic nuts,
into the fixtures on the valves (10) – refer to detail A.
Thanks to the openings (31), the wooden seats (9) can be
used to fasten the fishing accessories.
When using the inflatable seat, slide the wooden seat (9) into
the fixtures (34) on the bottom side of the inflatable seat (25)
- refer to detail F. Then, inflate the seat (inflating the screw
valve – refer to picture 2).
Attach the back rest of the inflatable seat (25) with the thread-
ed strap (33) onto the back of the fixture with the plastic buckle
(27) on the side cylinders – refer to detail G.
Inflate the air chambers in the following order:
bottom (1), then the side cylinders (2). Use a foot pump or
piston pump with a valve adaptor for inflating - see Figure
2b (the adaptor is included in the glue set). Check the con-
dition of the valves before inflating. Set the valves in the
OFF position. Valve handling - Refer to Fig. 2. Inflate the air
chambers until they are firm but not completely stiff. The air
chambers should provide a feeling comparable to squeezing
a ripe orange. You can check the exact operating pressu-
re by using a suitable pressure gauge (optional accessory)
– see Figure 2a. The valve assembly wrench – see fig. 2c – is
an optional accessory. Below the front board, there will be spa-
ce for baggage, which you can secure against falling out with
the flexible rope with snap hooks (16). The outboard engine is
mounted onto the transom (19) once the boat has been fully
inflated. When performing the assembly, avoid clamping the
flexible rope apron (22) between the engine's body and the
transom – see detail B. The battery can be attached to the en-
gine by interlacing the compression strap (used to hold down
the packed boat) with fixtures (23) – see detail C.
ATTENTION
The maximum operational pressure in the air chambers
is 0.02 MPa. If the ambient temperature increases (e. g.
owing to sunlight), the pressure in the air chambers of
the boat can rise rapidly. We recommend releasing some
air from all air chambers of the boat after pulling it out of
the water. Possible destruction of the air chambers will
thus be prevented.
However, do not forget to continuously monitor the air
pressure in the chambers afterwards, too. A correspon-
ding reduction in operating pressure is up to 20% within
24 hours.
ATTENTION
When using the boat, always seal the valves with their
valve caps. This will keep dirt out of the valves. Dirt can-
cause leaky valve seals.

4. Using the Boat

ALFONSO is a universal, three-seat boat with an open transom
for a multitude of purposes (pleasure cruising, fishing, etc.).
Whenever the boat is used on waterways, Waterway Traffic
Rules have to be observed. Operation of the ALFONSO in-
flatable boat does not require any licence provided that the
people who operate the boat know the techniques of small
boat operation within the scope necessary for its operation, as
well as the valid navigation rules of the particular country. The
design of the boat permits it to be operated in standing and
slow watercourse of difficulty grades up to WW2. This is only
a recommended use, it always depends on the specific abili-
ties of the user! To drive the boat, use longer canoe paddles,
oars or an engine with a maximum power of 3,7 kW. While
riding, all persons must be seated in their designated positions
and must be wearing life jackets. If water becomes present
inside the boat, remove it by pulling the blanket with flexible
rope (22) beneath the boat bottom level.
