Switching On/Off and Standby

The device can be switched on and off (shut down) or placed in standby as follows:
Switching on
Switching off (shutdown)
Activating standby
Exiting standby
Only after the IND890 has been completely shut down or a corresponding message appears may
the power plug be pulled out or the voltage supply disconnected.

Display and Keyboard

The IND890 is equipped with a back-lit, active color TFT display. The resolution of the IND890-10
is 1024 x 600 pixels at a size of 10.2" (25.9 cm) and the resolution of the IND890-15 is 1280 x
800 pixels at a size of 15.4" (39.1 cm). Weight information can be displayed in a variety of
formats, including single- or multi-scale display with or without a tare window.
All IND890 models feature an integrated touchscreen and can be operated exclusively via this
screen. In the display layout, the area at the very top is reserved for the system toolbar. It can
display general data as well as configurable status icons. Next is the weight display with all the
relevant weighing information. The middle section of the display is reserved for status messages
and special applications. The bottom section contains the areas reserved for DeltaTrac, and the
softkeys are arranged underneath.
Eight softkeys can be configured to enable a variety of integrated functions of the IND890, ranging
from setting the time and date to accessing specific memory tables, and including special scale
functions of the IND890.
Eight function keys are arranged below the screen. The operator can use these keys to navigate
through the setup options in the menu structure, and within setup and application screens.
IND890-15 only: The numeric keypad is used for entering data. The numeric keys are located at
the top right side of the front panel of the terminal. Alphanumeric data can be entered via the

Insert the power plug. The
IND890 will start up
automatically.
Press the Shutdown softkey
and confirm the prompt. The
IND890 shuts down and reports
"The terminal can now be
disconnected from the power
supply".
Press the Standby softkey. The IND890 enables standby.
Touch any portion of the touchscreen until a beep sounds and the
IND890 exits standby, or place weight on the scale.

LED will flash. Press the On/Off
key until a beep sounds. The
IND890 will start up, and the
power LED will be lit constantly.
Press the Shutdown softkey.
The IND890 automatically shuts
