TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Irregular heating pattern
Sharp drop in gas supply or heating.
Blazing.
Persistent fire in fat.
Backfiring [fire in burner tubes].
Flaking on the inside of the grill
– like peeling paint.
The burner flame suddenly dies

Possible cause

Blocked or clogged up burner
ports.
A new burner may have remains
of oil from the manufacturing.
Cobweb or insect nests in venturi
tubes.
Deposits of food scraps, fat or
spices in the burner.
Faulty adjustment of the valve for
the burner's venturi tube.
Very windy weather or gusts
of wind.
Low content of propane gas.
Accumulation of fat deposits.
Meat with high fat content.
Too high frying temperature.
Fat caught in food deposits
around the burner system.
Burner and/or burner tubes
are blocked.
Accumulation of soot.
Empty gas cylinder.
Blockage in gas supply.
Preventive action/solution
Clean burner ports.
Burn off the grill for 15 minutes .
Clean the burner.
Contact the dealer.
Turn the front of the grill towards the wind.
Replace the gas cylinder.
Clean the grill.
Remove fat from the meat prior to grilling.
Adjust (turn down) to a suitable temperature.
Turn the buttons to OFF. Switch off gas
supply. Let the fire burn out. Remove and
clean all parts when the grill has cooled off.
Clean burner and/or burner tubes that are
peeling in flakes. Rinse carefully.
Deposits of burnt fat that has turned into soot.
Check whether the gas cylinder is empty.
In this case the cylinder is replaced.
Clean burner tubes.
