The descriptions below are applied to check whether the burner burns correctly. If the flame appe-
ars abnormal, go to the troubleshooting guide on page 32 to learn how the flame can be adjusted.
Keep an eye on the height of the flame when the burner is ignited.
The flame should be blue/yellow and between 2.5 and 5 mm in height.
Normal: Soft blue flames at a
height of between 10 and 20
mm, with yellow spikes.
Blazing:
"Blazing" may occasionally occur when dripping from the food will drop onto the sizzling hot
hotplate or onto the burner and thus ignite. A certain amount of blazing is normal – and to be
desired, as it contributes to the particular flavour impression linked with grilled food. To avoid
burnt or irregularly prepared food as well as the risk of fire, it is however necessary to control the
blazing intensity.
WARNING: Always subject the grill to careful supervision when you are grilling and turn
down the flame level (MIN) or OFF in case of high blazing intensity.
Switching off the burner:
Always turn the valve buttons clockwise, all the way to "OFF" position. Immediately switch off the
gas supply from the gas cylinder.
Immediately switch off the gas supply in case of the occurrence of gas leakage.
Maladjustment: Noisy and hard
blue flames – too much air.
UK
Poor combustion: Flickering
yellow flames – insufficient air.
