2. Placing it onto the vehicle seat
If the front passenger seat is in use, please push it back as
far as possible and follow the instructions in your vehicle
manual.
Do not use vehicle seats, which are arranged to side ways.
These seats are not permitted to use for child car seats.
On rear-facing vehicle seats, such as in a van or minibus, use
is permitted provided the vehicle seat is approved for the
carriage of an adult. No airbag must be allowed to act on the
seat.
For front airbags, push the seat as far back as possible.
Observe the instructions in the vehicle manual.
Use is not possible if only a 2-point harness is available.
NOTE: ALWAYS use the vehicle seat belt when the child seat
is not in use. This also applies if the seat is connected to the
ISOFIX system. In the event of an emergency braking or im-
pact, an unsecured seat may injure you or other passengers.
Luggage and other similar objects should be stored away and properly secured! In case of an
accident, these could become hazards and can injure you and your child.
Never leave your child unattended in the car.

2.1. Use with ISOFIT
For securing the child car seat with ISOFIT there is a
"semi universal" approval. This includes the exclusive attachment with the ISOFIT grid arms to
the ISOFIX attachment points in the vehicle. Please observe the vehicle type list and the instruc-
tions in the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations.
Even if you use the ISOFIX system, never secure your child or child car seat with a 2-point-
vehicle-belt. If your child is secured in the child seat only with a 2-pointvehicle-belt, it can be
seriously injured in an accident.
3. Installing the SafeUp FIX L into your car
3.1. Installation with ISOFIT
Use the vehicle type list of your manufacturer to check
which vehicle seats are suitable for child car seats.
Check the Isofix guides regularly and clean away any
dirt, dust or food particles as they may effect the
safety of the system.
Before placing the MaxiFix PLUS on the car seat,
fasten if necessary in your vehicle the two supplied
mounting aids (IH) to the ISOFIX anchors (IA). The ISOFIX mounting points
are located between the seat and the backrest of the car seat.
Check the safety indicators (IT). These must both be RED. If the safety
indicators (red) are not visible, press the green release tabs until you hear
an audible << CLICK >>.
