Risks associated with using ovens
Fire hazard!
Always switch the built-in oven off
■
completely after use!
Only ever operate the oven with the
■
oven door closed.
Do not cover baking or roasts with
■
paper during cooking. Do not allow
food, baking parchment and alumini-
um foil to come into contact with the
heating elements.
Do not place food to be grilled too far
■
back towards the heating element. It
is particularly hot there. Fatty foods
can catch fi re.
Do not store temperature-sensitive,
■
combustible or fl ammable objects in
the oven. If the appliance is switched
on unintentionally such items may
deform or ignite.
Do not use the oven as a storage
■
place.
If you are cooking foods in oil, fat or
■
with alcohol, do not leave the oven
unattended. Food may ignite of its
own accord.
In case of an oven fi re: Do not
–
open the oven door!
Never extinguish burning oil or
–
fat with water!
In the event of a fi re, switch off the
■
appliance immediately and discon-
nect the mains plug and/or unscrew
the fuse. To extinguish the fi re, use
a suitable fi re extinguisher with the
designation 'F' or a fi re blanket.
Once the fi re has been extinguished,
■
have the appliance checked by our
Service Centre (see „Our Service Cen-
tre" on page GB-26).
Controls and appliance parts
If the external cooling fan is broken,
■
the appliance can quickly overheat,
which can cause signifi cant damage
to the appliance and set fi re to any
other nearby fl ammable objects. In
such an event, immediately switch
off the appliance, open the oven door
and stop using the oven!
CAUTION
Risk of burns!
During its use, the device and its ex-
posed parts can become hot.
Caution should be exercised not to
■
touch the heating elements, walls,
baking trays, etc.
Children aged 8 years or younger
■
must be kept away from the appli-
ance, unless they are under constant
supervision.
Hot steam can fl ow from the extrac-
■
tion hood (ventilation) when the oven
is in use. Exercise caution when open-
ing the hot oven!
Never pour water directly into the hot
■
oven. The steam can cause scalding
and damage the enamel.
Allow hot water from the oven to cool
■
before pouring it out.
Never leave the oven unattended
■
while grilling. Keep children away!
Allow the oven to cool completely be-
■
fore cleaning.
Health hazard!
Do not defrost meat, poultry and fi sh
■
in the oven. Remove frozen goods
from the freezer in good time and al-
low it to defrost whilst covered in the
fridge. The fl uid from the frozen food
