Button TAP BPM
• If the automatic beat counter is not able to
determine the number of beats per minute
(BPM) of the current title, this button allows
you to manually set the BPM. For this, tap
the button several times to the beat of the
music until the determined BPM are
indicated.
• Alternatively, you can directly enter the BPM
value with the press control TRACK [
For this, keep the button TAP BPM pressed
and turn the press control TRACK [
adjust the BPM value.
• Long actuation: activates/deactivates the
automatic beat counter; with the function
activated, "AUTO BPM" is indicated.
10 Pitch slide control
This slide control sets the playback speed
(without changing the pitch when the button
[ ] KEY LOCK is pressed), when the
function has been activated with the button
[%] PITCH ON.
11 Buttons PITCH BEND [–] and [+]
During playback, the pitch bend function
creates a temporary change of speed
depending on the pitch adjustment range
selected (up to 100 % for audio CDs; up to
16 % for MP3 files.
12 Button KEY LOCK with LED
Short actuation activates/deactivates the key
lock function. With the function activated, the
tonal pitch of the title remains constant when
the speed is changed with the pitch slide
control. The adjacent LED lights red and the
display indicates
13 Button [%] with LEDs
• Short actuation: Selects the pitch adjustment
range: 4 %, 8 %, 16 %, and 100 % for audio
CDs; up to 16 % for MP3 CDs.
• Long actuation: Activates/deactivates the
pitch slide control. With the control activated,
the red control LED [PITCH ON] lights.
14 Buttons SEARCH [ ] and [ ]
• [ ]: fast forward
• [ ]: fast reverse
15 Button FOLDER with indicator [
• For switching over between title and folder
selection mode with the TRACK [
control. In folder mode, the red control LED
lights.
• Long actuation: activates/deactivates the
repeat function. With the function activated,
the current title will be continuously repeated
(in single play mode) or all titles in the folder
selected (in continuous play mode). The
display indicates "REPEAT".

16 Button [►II]
Switches between play and pause. During
playback the yellow LED lights, in pause
mode it flashes.
17 Button CUE
• When pressing the button in pause mode and
during playback the unit stops and returns to
the cue point and is in pause mode (LED
lights red).
• When keeping the button pressed in pause
mode, the title is momentarily played. As
soon as you release the button the unit
instantly returns to the cue point.
• Every time a new cue point is set, the LED
flashes repeatedly.
18 Buttons IN, OUT and RELOOP
• IN: Sets the starting point of a loop (LED
lights red) and defines a cue point without
interrupting the music ("on the fly").
• OUT: Sets the end point of a continuous loop
which is instantly started (LEDs IN and OUT
will be flashing). The loop will continue to
play until the button OUT is pressed once
again.
• RELOOP: Starts the loop once again (LEDs
IN and OUT will be flashing). Press the
button OUT to exit the loop.
19 Jog dial
• In play mode for the pitch bend function and
in pause mode for precisely selecting a
certain spot.
• For searching for music in the database of a
USB storage device.
20 Infrared sensor for the remote control
21 Power switch
Press this button to turn the unit on and off.
22 Power input
Plug in the supplied power cable here.
23 USB port 2
Rear USB port (type A) for connecting a USB
storage device.
24 Line output, balanced
Analog audio output (XLR left/right) with line
level for connecting an amplifier, a mixer or
other units with line level inputs.
25 Line output, unbalanced
Analog audio output (RCA left/right) with line
level for connecting an amplifier, a mixer or
other units with line level inputs.
