COMMISSIONING AND OPERATION

Installation site of the gas grill
1. The appliance must be installed at least 1 meter away from combustible materials.
2. The gas grill should be placed on a non-fl ammable, level surface.
3. Make sure that your barbecue area is set up in a place that does not interfere with
its use in bad weather.
Lighting the gas grill
1. Turn the grill control knob clockwise to the position
2. Connect the regulator to the gas bottle. Turn on the gas supply by setting the
regulator to "ON". Use the soap solution to check whether gas leaks between the
gas cylinder and the regulator.
3. Push the grill control knob down and turn it counterclockwise to the position
fl ame). You hear a click and the burner ignites. If not, repeat this procedure three to
four times.
4. If the burner does not ignite, wait 5 minutes and repeat step 3.
5. Adjust the fl ame height by turning the knob to the High/Low position.
6. To turn off the gas grill: Turn the valve of the gas cylinder or the regulator to the
"OFF" position and then turn the regulator on the appliance clockwise to the "OFF"
position .
Ignition: Plug type gas valve with integrated piezo ignition.
WARNING
Danger of explosion! If the burner cannot be ignited, turn off the
appliance by turning the control clockwise to the OFF position. Close the
gas supply by turning the regulator of the gas cylinder to the OFF
position. Wait fi ve minutes before attempting to relight the burner again.
Commissioning of the gas grill
• Before cooking for the fi rst time, leave the grill in operation with the gas switched on
for approx. 15 minutes (without food). This will "hot clean" the internal parts and the
smell of the painted surfaces will vanish.
CAUTION
Risk of burns! Accessible parts can be very hot. Always keep small
children away from the hot grill (even when cooling down!). It is
recommended to wear protective gloves (e.g. oven gloves) when
handling particularly hot components.
