Non-observance of safety instructions
Damage or unexpected product behaviour.
► Follow the safety instructions and the precautions specified in this accompanying document.
NOTICE
Use of a damaged product
Limited functionality due to product malfunction.
► Do not put the product into operation if the cable or housing is visibly damaged. If you notice
any damage, please send the device to an authorised Ottobock service centre.
► Check the functions of the two light-emitting diodes on the product regularly. Should they
fail, please send the product to an authorised Ottobock service centre.
NOTICE
Connecting the product to a USB connection that is not freely accessible on the com­
puter
Damage to the product because immediate disconnection from the supply voltage is prevented
in the event of a fault.
► Connect the product only to USB connections that can be freely accessed on the computer.
NOTICE
Improper product care
Damage to the product due to the use of incorrect cleaning agents.
► Clean the product with a damp cloth and mild soap only.
NOTICE
Use by untrained personnel
Limited function due to product malfunction or damage.
► The product may only be used by trained orthopaedic technicians.
NOTICE
Penetration of dirt and humidity into the product
Limited functionality due to product malfunction or damage.
► Ensure that neither solid particles nor liquids can penetrate into the product.
► The fibre optics cable should always stay connected in order to prevent the optical system
from getting dirty.
If liquid has penetrated into the product, forward it to an authorised Ottobock service centre
