The following parameters can be used to customise the sequence of the automatic defrosting
feature:
-
(5) Duration of the automatic defrosting feature: defines the duration of the automatic
defrosting feature in minutes.
-
(6) Temperature setting for the automatic defrosting feature: the automatic defrosting feature
is started as soon as the "Current temperature on the heat exchanger" (C) falls below this
value in °C.
-
(7) Temperature setting for stopping the automatic defrosting: the automatic defrosting feature
is stopped as soon as the "Current temperature on the heat exchanger" (C) rises above this
value in °C.
-
(8) Control timer for stopping the automatic defrosting: the automatic defrosting feature is
stopped as soon as the duration set for it in minutes is exceeded.
Do not use any objects for speeding up the defrosting process except those permitted
by the manufacturer!
Leaks
If a liquid escapes from the heat pump, it could be one of the following:
-
Condensation water
-
Pool water
-
Refrigerant
Condensation water
The formation of condensation water is normal during operation and is not a defect. As the
surface of the finned heat exchanger becomes cold, the humidity of the ambient air condenses
and in extreme cases can also solidify to form ice. Condensation water that forms collects in the
base plate and is drained off through a hole via the drain connection
4
is clogged, the condensation water cannot drain completely out of the heat pump and
substantial quantities can collect there.
Pool water
Escaping pool water indicates that:
•
the hose is not connected correctly to the adapter
•
the adapter
•
the seal in the adapter
•
the pipe of the circuit inside the heat pump is leaking.
Refrigerant
Escaping refrigerant indicates that the refrigerant circuit in the finned heat exchanger has a leak.
Contact a qualified specialist promptly if you find a leak in the refrigerant circuit.
Please bear in mind that refrigerants have no odour.
Storage
Once the outdoor temperature falls below 10 °C on a continuous basis, the heat pump should be
put into winter storage to avoid damage due to the formation of ice (bursting due to freezing).
Winter storage
1. Disconnect all supply lines (see the chapter on "Deinstallation").
