8. Warranty Terms

The warranty period is twelve months from the original date of
purchase by the enduser. The warranty covers the value of parts
with manufacturing or material defect detected during the war-
ranty period. The warranty does not cover any damage caused
by improper use, incorrect assembly or usage by the purchaser
or any third party, normal wear and tear, improper maintenance,
use of improper spray media, use of improper substitute materials,
exposure to chemical influences from alkaline solutions and acids
or of electrochemical as well as electrical nature, to the extent that
the damage is not resulting from any error committed by SATA.
Abrasive spray media such as red lead, dispersion, glaze and
liquid emery, etc. reduce the lifetime of valves, packings, guns and
nozzles. Wear and tear caused by any of these materials are not
covered by warranty. The product must be inspected by the user
immediately upon delivery. Obvious damage must be reported in
written form to the supplying dealer or to SATA within 14 days upon
receipt of the product, in order to retain warranty.
Additional claims such as compensation are excluded. This refers
as well to damages caused during presentations, training sessions
or demonstrations. Should the consumer require immediate repair
or replacement before a determination of whether the affected unit
is covered by the warranty, the repair or the replacement will be
made and charged at the current prices. If it is determind that the
item is covered by the warranty, a credit will be issued for the repair
or replacement. Replaced parts become the property of Würth or
their distributor.
Notice of defects or other claims do not entitle the consumer to
delay or refuse payment.
Products returns must be sent prepaid. All service charges,
freight and handling charges have to be borne by the consumer.
Suretyships may not prolong the warranty period. This warranty
terminates upon unauthorized inference.
ATTENTION!
When using solvents and cleaning liquids based on halogen-
ated hydrocarbons, e.g. 1.1.1-trichlorethylene and methylene
chloride, chemical reactions can occur, affecting the aluminium
cup, the gun body as well as all galvanised components (small
amounts of water added to 1.1.1-trichlorethylene lead to the
formation of hydrochloric acid). As a result, components may
oxidate, and in extreme cases the reaction can be even explo-
sive. Therefore, only use solvents and cleaning liquids which do
not contain any of the aforementioned substances. Never use
acids, alkaline solutions / lyes or any sort of stripping agents for
cleaning.
9. Notes
Never point the pressurised cup guns at yourself, at third persons
or animals. Solvents, cleaning liquids and thinners can cause
severe burns. Only the quantities of solvents, cleaning agents and
paints required for work progress should be present in the direct
surroundings of the application device (after work, solvents and
paints must be returned to their designated storage rooms). Prior
to any repair work, the device must be disconnected from the air
supply. Prior to putting the device into operation, especially
after each cleaning and repair, check all screws and nuts for
tight fit as well as the sealing performance of gun and hose.
Defective components must be replaced or repaired accordingly.
To obtain best possible coating results, and for maximum safety,
only use original spare parts. Ensure that there are no sources

of ignition (e.g. open flames, burning cigarettes, lamps without
ex-protection etc.) present during the painting process, as easily
flammable gas mixtures are being generated. Occupational safety
regulations in place must be obeserved (wearing of respiratory
protection, etc.). During use of the pressurised cup spray gun, no
harmful vibrations are transmitted which could affect the painter.
Recoil forces are minimal. The use of this product in explosion
hazard zones classified in Category I is prohibited. SATA, SATAjet,
the SATA Logo and/or other SATA products referenced herein are
