Functional description

4.4.1

Alarm outputs

The proX Keyswitch BUS-2 has one output each to actuate an acoustical (AA) and
optical alarm (OA) device respectively. These outputs are designed as semicon-
ductor outputs.

If the door is opened in the active condition, the alarm outputs are actuated if programmed accordingly.
The duration of the acoustical message depends on the programming:
- Till alarm is stopped
or
- 3 minutes maximum
Alarm devices that can be actuated upon application of operating voltage can be used, provided the permissible
current consumption is not exceeded (max. 40 mA).
Activation of users/alarm devices with high current consumption (>40 mA) is possible via the "DUO switching
module 230V AC/ 8A" (Item no. f.m. version 010121.17, s.m. version 010131).
The s.m. module can be installed space-saving in a f.m. socket (DIN) behind the proX Keyswitch (see Chapt. 6.3).
