If an error occurs in the BUS-2 loop, the defective part is disconnected and all remaining users continue to function fully. Use in the stub: If separating modules are used in a BUS-2 stub, the bus continues to function fully up to the separating module before the point where the fault occurred.
BUS-2 Function The separating module BUS-2 is installed between the other BUS-2 users in the bus so that the bus can be disconnected at this point. If several separating modules are installed in one loop, parts of the loop can be disconnected.
Every separating module is an independent BUS-2 user and thus has its own address. A total of 64 addresses can be allocated at BUS-2. The address sequence is random. Max. 8 separating modules may be used per loop or stub.
Addresss switch S1 BUS-2 address The DIP switches (address switch S1) in the separating module are for setting the BUS-2 user address. The individual codes can be found in the programming protocol of the intrusion detection central control unit. Possible address range: 0 to 63 Ensure that addresses are not allocated twice in the bus.
