1. Range of application – Overview

1.1

Application as amok alarm signalling device

The proX Keyswitch BUS-2 has been specifically designed as an amok alarm signalling device for use in schools,
universities and other public buildings, for example.
In the event of danger, it should be prompt and easy to trigger an amok alarm to contact emergency services (such
as the police) with details such as
- "WHERE" (exact location),
- "WHEN" (time) and
- "WHO" (name of the person who triggered the alarm).
1.2

Application as Doorguard

The device can be used as a Doorguard Plus BUS-2 device, if the alarm signalling device is not required locally.
Other external acoustical and optical alarm devices can also be used, if need be.
If higher switching capacities are needed, you can actuate using the alarm outputs, e.g. "DUO relay module 230V
AC/ 8A" (Item. No. 010121.17).
2.

Integration in intrusion detection systems

2.1

Function

The proX Keyswitch BUS-2 communicates with the corresponding intrusion detection system via BUS-2. All system data
as well as all object-specific programming are realized with the programming software of the intruder alarm control
panel. Voltage for the proX Keyswitch is supplied via the BUS-2 connection.
