Connecting the
appliance
After installing the appliance, wait at least.
½ hour until the appliance starts up.
During transportation the oil in the
compressor may have flowed into the
refrigeration system.
To enable your freezer to be used with
servo@Home, you will require a special
accessory, the system interface. which is
available from specialist outlets. The
system interface must be inserted into the
slot at the rear of your refrigerator. Follow
the installation instructions enclosed with
the system interface.
Before switching on the appliance for the
first time, clean the interior (see Cleaning).
The socket should be freely accessible.
Connect the appliance to 220 240 V/
50 Hz alternating current via a correctly
installed earthed socket. The socket must
be fused with a 10 A fuse or higher.
If the appliance is to be operated in
a non European country, check on
the rating plate whether the indicated
voltage and current type correspond
to the values of your mains supply.
The rating plate is situated in the
bottom left hand side of the appliance.
The mains connection cable may be
replaced by an electrician only.

Never connect the appliance
to electronic energy saver plugs or to
power inverters which convert the
direct current to 230 V alternating
current (e.g. solar equipment, power
supplies on ships).

S Press the appliance main switch 7.
The warning tone sounds and display 1
flashes. Alarm" display 2 illuminates.
S Press the l/ alarm" button. The
warning tone is cancelled.
Display 1 stops flashing.
At temperatures greater than 19 °C,
-" is displayed.
Only at lower temperatures are the
values displayed with  °C ".
S The appliance left the factory with the
following standard settings:
Temperature in freezer compartment:
-18 °C.
S The preset values may be altered; refer
to the description for button 4.
S We recommend a setting of -18 °C.
Notes:
S When the freezer compartment has
reached its operating temperature, the
Alarm" display 2 extinguishes.
S With the fully automatic No frost
system the freezer compartment
remains ice free. Defrosting is no
longer necessary.
S The end sides of the housing are
sometimes moderately heated. This
prevents condensation from forming
around the door seal.
