• Only use a suitable charger to charge lithium accumulators. Due to a risk of
fire and explosion, ordinary chargers for NiCd, NiMH and lead acid batteries
may not be used!
• When charging a lithium accumulator with more than one cell, always use a
so-called "balancer" (one is already integrated into the supplied charger)
• Charge LiPo accumulators with a max. charge current of 1C. This means that
the charge current may not exceed the capacity value imprinted on the
accumulator (e.g. accumulator capacity 1000mAh, max. charge current
1000mA = 1A).
With LiFe or LiIon accumulators, you must observe the instructions of the
accumulator manufacturer.
• The discharge current must not exceed the value displayed on the
accumulator.
For example, if a value of "20C" is printed on the accumulator, the max.
discharge current is 20 times the accumulator's capacity (e.g. accumulator
capacity 1000mAh, max. discharge current 20C = 20x 1000mA = 20A).
If these guidelines are not adhered to, the accumulator will overheat, which
will lead to the accumulator becoming deformed/swollen or result in an
explosion and fire!
The printed value (e.g "20C") does not generally refer to the constant current,
but to the maximum current that the accumulator is capable of producing in
the short-term. The constant current should not be higher than one half of the
given value.
• No cell of a LiPo accumulator may be discharged below 3.0V (LiFe = 2.0V,
LiIon = 2.5V), as this will destroy the accumulator.
If the model does not provide protection against total discharge or possess
a visual display indicating a low accumulator, remember to switch off the
model in time.
