Inputs PHONO(20) and PHONE2 (22)
Two PHONO inputs are available. You can connect your record player to this stereo
cinch input. The PHONO inputs have been conceived for record players with a mag-
net system.
No high-level sources such as tuners, CD players or similar may be connected
here.
Earth screw terminals (19)
If your record player has its own earth (usually a thin, black cable with clamp-type
socket), connect this to the earth terminals. This helps to avoid buzzing interference.
Connection "MIC" (13)
This input can be used to connect a microphone with 6.3 mm jack bushes.

Connecting the outputs

Output "MASTER" (17)
Connect the MASTER output to a free cinch input of your amplifier (e.g. AUX). The
"MASTER" output is in stereo design.
The white cinch output jack of the mixer is connected to the left amplifier input.
The red output jack of the mixer is connected to the right amplifier input.
Output "RECORD" (18)
If you wish to record the output signal of the mixer with a cassette deck, connect the
recording input of the cassette deck to the jacks "RECORD" (18) of the mixer.
The white output jack of the mixer is connected to the left recording input.
The red output jack of the mixer is connected to the right recording input.
Headphone jack "HEADPHONES" (9)
Connect headphones with a 6.3-mm jack bush to the headphone jack. The head-
phones must have an impedance of at least 32 Ohm as otherwise there will be mis-
matches.
38
The output level of the REC jacks is influenced over the individual channel faders and
the control "GAIN".
(19) Screw terminals GND
To prevent buzzing tones, an earth connection can be made through these screw
terminals between the mixer and the earth cables of the record player (mostly black
cable with clamp-type socket).
(20) PHONO CH1 input
A record player can be connected to this asymmetrical stereo cinch input. The
PHONO1 is pending at the FADER channel CH1. The jacks PHONO are intended
exclusively for record-players with magnet systems and possess a corresponding
equaliser pre-amplifier.
Short-circuit plugs are inserted in the PHONO input jacks. Leave these
plugs inserted when you are not using the PHONO input concerned. The
short-circuit plugs prevent any attraction of buzzing disturbances through
the sensitive PHONO inputs.
(21) LINE CH1 input
A record player, tuner, MP3 player or another playback device with cinch level can
be connected to this asymmetrical stereo cinch input. The LINE1 is pending at the
FADER channel CH1.
No record player can be connected to these inputs.
(22) PHONO CH2 input
A record player can be connected to this asymmetrical stereo cinch input. The
PHONO2 is pending at the FADER channel CH2.
The jacks PHONO are intended exclusively for record-players with magnet systems
and possess a corresponding equaliser pre-amplifier.
(23) LINE CH2 input
A record player, tuner, MP3 player or another playback device with cinch level can
be connected to this asymmetrical stereo cinch input. The LINE2 is pending at the
FADER channel CH2.
No record player can be connected to these inputs.
(24) Mains switch POWER
The mixer is switched on or off using this switch.
When the mixer is switched on, the operating indicator, "POWER", lights up.
The plug-in power unit also consumes a little power even when the device
is switched off. Therefore pull the plug-in power unit out of the socket when
you wish to disconnect the device from the mains completely.
