(7) Input selection switch "PHONO1 LINE1" and "PHONO2 LINE2"
Using the switches, you can select between the individual inputs of the channels.
The switches bear the are labelled just the same as the connection jacks on the rear.
Example:
Switching "PHONO1-LINE1" to the position PHONO 1 means that the signal of the
record-player on the jacks PHONO 1 is relayed to the fader channel CH-1. The LINE1
input is not reproduced in this switch position. For reproduction of the LINE 1 input,
the input selection switch "PHONO1-LINE1" has to be switched to the position
LINE1.
Minimise the volume using the corresponding channel fader
before an input selection is changed over. Due to the different vol-
umes of the input sources, sudden, excessive volume could oth-
erwise be the result.
(8) Operating indicator
The operating indicator lights up when the device is switched on, .
(9) Headphone jack "HEADPHONES"
At this jack, a commercially available headphone with a 6.3mm jack bush can be
connected.
The input signals can be pre-heard on the headphones. Only use headphones with a
minimum impedance of 32 Ohm.
(10) Switch "FADER START" (cross-fader start feature)
Using these switches, the cross-fader start feature is switched on (switch in position
FADER-START) and off.
With the feature switched on, the reproduction of the CD player is controlled through
the CROSS-FADER (12) of the mixer. The CD player has to correspond to the "Amer-
ican Audio Q Series".
(11) Recording level indicator
The recording level indicator supplies information about the output level of the chan-
nels. The indication is separate for each channel. The left instrument indicates the
recording level of the left channel, the right instrument the recording level of the right
channel.
The indicator should as far as possible not reach the red area as otherwise dis-
tortion of the music signal can occur.
