(12) CROSS-FADER
With the aid of this slide control, cross-fading takes place between the two fader
channels CH1 and CH2.
The one channel is faded out on operating the slide control (becomes quieter), at the
same time, the other channel is faded in (becomes louder). In the middle position of
the CROSS-FADER slide control, both channels are reproduced equally.
(13) Microphone input "MIC"
Connection jack for the DJ microphone.
Microphones with 6.3mm jack bushes can be connected here.
(14) Channel faders
Using these controls, you can set the volume of the channels CH1 and CH2.
Position "0" = minimum level
Position "10" = maximum level
(15) Sound control "HIGH" and "LOW"
Using these controls, the sound of the signal of the inputs (CH1, CH2 and MIC) can
be set.
HIGH influences the reproduction in the high-tone range
LOW influences the reproduction in the bass range
Left control stop = maximum reduction
Right control stop = maximum increase
Middle position = no influence through the control
(16) Connections "FADER START" A & B
These 3.5 mm mono jack bushes are used for connection of CD players which cor-
respond to the standard of the "American Audio Q Series". There is low voltage at
the jacks which, depending on the position of the CROSS-FADER (12), are briefly
relayed to the earth.
Connect the corresponding mixer output "FADER START A" or "FADER START B" to
the control input (fader start) of the CD player concerned.
(17) Output "MASTER"
The MASTER output signal is pending at these asymmetrical stereo cinch outputs.
This signal is the mixed audio output signal of the mixer. Connect these jacks with
your amplifier.
(18) Output "REC"
The mixed audio output signal of the mixer (in the same way as the MASTER signal)
is pending at this asymmetrical stereo cinch output "REC" . The REC signal is not
influenced over the control "MASTER" however.
Recording devices such as, for example, cassette decks, tape recorders or CD
recorders can be connected to these jacks.

Connecting the fader-start outputs
Connections FADER START (16)
The device has two FADER START outputs. Connect the control jack (fader start) of
the corresponding CD player to the FADER START output "FADER START A" or
"FADER START B".
Connect only compatible devices ("American Audio Q Series"). If
other devices
are connected, both the mixer and the device connected can be
damaged.
Connection to the voltage supply
The mixer and all connected devices have to be switched off.
Connect the low-voltage plug of the supplied plug-in power unit (26) with the low-
voltage jack "AC 9V 500mA" (25) of the mixer.
Insert the plug-in power unit into a (230V~/50Hz) mains socket (230V~/50Hz).
