Trouble shooting

Problem
Motor not running
or cuts out during
operation
Shredding does not
work
Shredding material
comes out in chains
Possible cause
Collector box (17) incorrectly
attached
Overload protection
No mains power supply
Safety switch (4) is not
properly in place on the
collector box (17)
Cylinder blade (24) running in
reverse
Shredding material is too
soft
cylinder blade (24) is jammed Free up the jam
Pressure plate (25) is
incorrectly adjusted

Fault correction

Push the collector box (17) home to
its correct position, and place the
safety switch (4) on the collector box
(17) to the ON position.
Push down the overload protection
switch (12) to reset
Check the socket, cable, lead and
plug for damage, and if necessary,
have any damage repaired by
qualified repair personnel.
Move the safety switch (4) into the
ON position (see "emptying the
collector box")
Change rotational direction using
the function switch (9)
Insert wood or shred dried branches
(See "Freeing up the jam")
Readjust the pressure plate (See
"Adjusting the pressure plate")
