INSTALLATION
• Supply with cold and hot water, with a maximum difference in temperature of 50°C between
the hot and the cold (recommended at 45°C), by balancing the pressure (ΔP < 1 bar). In the UK and
Ireland a thermostatic mixing valve should be installed to provide anti-scald, safe hot water temperature
control. Maximum supply pressure is 10 bar maximum (we recommend 0.5 to 5 bar dynamic
pressure).
INSTALLING THE MIXERS
• Mount the mixer body on the washbasin or sink (hole Ø33mm) and tighten the two nuts on the
threaded rods.
• Connect using the stainless steel, braided PEX flexibles F3/8''*. The flexibles on mixers 2820(EP),
2820L(EP), 2821(EP) and 2821L(EP) are supplied with stopcocks. Fit the stopcocks
in the diagram. Hard copper tails are also available.
• Ensure a suitable waterproof seal between the mixer and the work plan appropriate to the type of
installation.
ADJUSTING THE TEMPERATURE AND THE FLOW RATE
> Setting the maximum temperature limit:
• All BIOCLIP mixers are delivered with the temperature limiter engaged to prevent any risk of scalding.
• For the UK and Ireland, in healthcare and high risk applications, the temperature limiter must be
disengaged and a certified thermostatic mixing valve installed to provide safe hot water temperatures.
Recommended maximum hot water temperatures are 38°C for bidets and 41°C for washbasins
and showers.
> Adjusting the mixed water limiter
To adjust the pre-set, unclip and reposition the index ring sited underneath the lever.
The position of the index ring limits the water temperature at the mixer outlet.
• To access the cartridge ·, remove the lever by removing the covering cap
screw using a 2.5mm Allen key
• To change the hot water (HW) setting »-A, disengage the index ring
the hot water temperature, or anti-clockwise to increase the temperature. Replace the index ring
and check the temperature at the mixed water outlet to achieve the desired maximum temperature.
• To return to the maximum hot water position »-B, align the marker on the index ring
the marker on the cartridge
• To disengage the mixed water limiter.
ADJUSTING THE FLOW RATE
> Ceramic cartridge Ø 40
Flow rate regulated at 5 lpm.
> Ceramic cartridge Ø40 with pressure balancing "EP" (see operation principles ´).
An ECO flow straightener (DELABIE patented) delivers a flow rate of 3 lpm at 3 bar ¿.
The flow rate can be adjusted using a 2.5mm Allen key directly on the flow straightener:
Notch n°1 = 3 lpm / Notch n°2 = 4 lpm / Notch n°3 = 6 lpm.
* For 15mm compression fittings or hard copper tail options please contact Technical Support (see below).
