Disconnect appliance from the mains and allow to cool before exchanging each plate.
Switching the appliance
You can use the appliance with or without steam (model VZ 1130, VZ 1120). If you use it
without steam, you may have to repeat the straightening process several times.
Lay the appliance on a flat surface. Insert the mains plug. The appliance takes approx.
8 - 12 min to heat up to operation temperature. The heating indicator light should light
up.
Straightening long hair (model VZ 1130, VZ 1120)
Make sure you have inserted the set of straightening plates.
Always hold the appliance at a safe distance from skin and eyes. Use a mirror.
- Part your hair into approx. 4 - 5 cm wide strands.
- Lay the prepared strands one at a time between the straightening plates and close
them.
- Draw the appliance slowly from the roots through to the tips of your hair. Repeat until
your hair is straight as you desire.
- Note
The appliance is fitted with an automatic steam shot which constantly releases
steam when closed. When the water reservoir is empty, disconnect the appliance
from the mains, allow the straightening plates to cool down a bit and top up with
water.
After finishing styling, let your hair cool down and then comb it through.
Straightening short hair
Follow the instructions as for long hair, but instead of drawing the appliance through
your hair, clamp the strands in the appliance for approx. 10 seconds.
Crimping the hair
Make sure you have inserted the set of crimping plates (model VZ 1130, VZ 1120).
Always hold the appliance at a safe distance from skin and eyes. Use a mirror.
- Part your hair into approx. 5 cm strands.
- Lay the prepared strands on at a time between the crimping plates.
- Close the appliance.
- For the best results, begin at the roots and gradually crimp to the strand end.
