Sintering in the Cercon® heat plus furnace:
Cercon® base
Frameworks made from Cercon® base are sintered at
• 1,350 °C in the Cercon® heat furnace
or at
• 1,350 °C or 1,450 °C in the Cercon® heat plus furnace
– Program #1 for bridges up to 8 units (up to 2 sintering trays), T
– Program #2 for bridges up to 8 units (3 sintering trays), T
– Program #3 for bridges of 9 or more units (general), T
Cercon® ht/Cercon® xt:
Frameworks made from Cercon® ht/Cercon® xt are sintered at
• 1,500 °C in the Cercon® heat plus furnace
– Program #4 for bridges up to 8 units Cercon® ht, up to 3 units Cercon® xt, T
– Program #5 for bridges of 9 or more units Cercon® ht, T
Special sintering notes for long-span bridges (9 or more units, Cercon® base/Cercon® ht)
in the Cercon® heat plus furnace:
Nesting:
To ensure homogeneous contraction, nest smaller objects (such as single copings or 3-unit bridges)
on the inside ("tongue" area) of larger objects
Before milling:
Completely remove the barcode label from the blank to avoid contamination of the sintering furnace
Sintering:
Two wide-span bridges (9 or more units) can be sintered in the Cercon® heat plus at one time
Place the objects on the sintering block with due regard to the internal vertical clearance of the
Cercon® heat plus (130 mm) and the need to facilitate contraction without any mechanical constraints
The objects must not touch the sintering block during the sintering
