Problem
TV set does not respond to remote
control
After switching on, the message
"Code entry" appears on the
screen.
The TV set was switched off using
the button, but the yellow or
blue-red light diode is still on.
No sound is output on the TV
speakers
No EPG data available or only
certain data
Possible cause
• No direct line of sight contact between remote
control and TV set.
• Direct sunlight shining on infrared window of
TV set.
• Remote control batteries flat.
• TV set switched off with the power switch.
• Processor fault
• Perental control was programmed and all
programs have been blocked.
• EPG data of the electronic program guide are
being collected.
• A recording is running
• In the "Sound" menu under "Sound Settings,
general", "Speaker off" is selected.
• The TV set was unable to collect any data,
because it was switched off with the power
switch on the TV set.
• Establish sight contact.
• Avoid sunlight exposure.
• Replace batteries.
• Switch on the TV set with the power switch.
• Switch the TV set on and off with the power
switch
• Enter the code number with which you
programmed parental control.
• None; once the data has been collected in full
the TV set will switch off automatically.
• In the "Sound" menu under "Sound Settings,
general", "Speaker on" is selected.
• Switch TV set to stand-by mode only with the
key
