INHALATION MASK /
INHALANTS TANK /
CONDENSATE TANK
Check whether dried residue is present. In case of dried
residue, place the inhalation mask, inhalants- / condensate
tank in warm water and rinse these under warm running
tap water.
To improve the cleaning effect, commercially available
dishwashing detergent can be added to the warm rinsing
water. In case of severe contamination, the inhalation mask,
inhalants- / condensate tank should be placed in the rinsing
water for a longer period of time. Stubborn contamination
must be removed with a soft brush or a soft cloth.
Place the inhalation mask, inhalants- / condensate tank in
a disinfectant solution (for exposure time, see the in-
structions provided with the disinfectant solution).
Check for any residual disinfectant and remove it.
Dry the cleaned inhalation mask, inhalants- / condensate
tank on a clean surface. Residual moisture can increase
the risk of germs accumulating.
Alternatively, the inhalation masks can also be thermally disinfected. Follow
the instructions in chapter 5.7 on this page.
We recommend cleaning after every application.
CAUTION!
The device must be disconnected from the mains for
cleaning!
The instructions specified in the instructions for
use must be observed, particularly as regards the
recommended agents.

SUCTION TUBE

Check whether dried residue is present. In case of dried
residue, place the suction tube in warm water and rinse
under warm running tap water.
To improve the cleaning effect, commercially available
dishwashing detergent can be added to the warm rinsing
water. In case of severe contamination, the suction tube
should be placed in the rinsing water for a longer period of
time. Stubborn contamination must be removed with a soft
brush or a soft cloth.
We recommend cleaning after every application.

DISINFECTION

The different device components can be disinfected with
specific disinfectants:
Inhalation mask (instrument disinfectant)
Inhalants- / condensate tank (instrument
disinfectant)
Device surface (surface disinfectant)
In this regard, observe the instructions already mentioned
in this section as well as the respective disinfectant
manufacturers' instructions for use.
Thorough cleaning should always be performed prior
to disinfection, if such is required. As a general rule,
disinfection is advisable to prevent cross-infection and is
also advisable if the device is used in inpatient situations
(e.g. hospitals, nursing homes and/or other health care
facilities), in order to limit the risk of infections.
Instructions for thermal disinfection in domestic
environments:
1.
Place a sufficiently large saucepan on the hob and fill
with water.
2.
Bring the water to the boil.
3.
Then add the inhalation mask to the boiling water.
Make sure that the objects to be disinfected are
completely covered with water and that all surfaces
are rinsed with water.
Stir the water occasionally with a wooden spoon or
similar.
4.
Boil the items for 10 minutes in continuous boiling
water.
5.
Then remove the objects from the water using a
wooden spoon, grill tongs or similar
CAUTION! Danger of scalding!
6.
Let the objects cool down and then dry them with a
clean, lint-free cloth.
CAUTION!
Boiling may cause discolouration of the material.
However, this has no effect on the functionality of the
inhalation masks.
