2.2 Correct handling of batteries
• Batteries may contain dangerous substances. Ensure batteries
are not handled by children. Children could put the batteries in

their mouths and swallow them. If batteries are swallowed, please
consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking batteries may damage the product. If the radio is not go
ing to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.
• Batteries may contain poisonous substances. Therefore you
should ensure batteries are disposed of in accordance with
current legal regulations, without endangering the environment.
Never dispose of batteries in your regular domestic waste.
• Do not expose batteries to open fire or extreme heat, as they may
explode.
• Always replace batteries with new batteries of the same type.
