Wet shaving (only for battery operation)
DANGER! Risk of electric shock!
The hand-held device and the plug-in power unit 17 are not
waterproof. Wet shaving is only allowed when using battery
power.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
For wet shaving use shaving foam or lather only; never use
shaving gel or shaving cream. This could adhere to the cutter
blocks 16.
• Before shaving, smooth a thin layer of shaving foam on your
face.
• Shave your face as described in the chapter Dry shaving (Re-
chargeable battery and mains operation).
• If shaving foam should clog the shaving head 3, clean the
shaving head under running water (Chapter "Cleaning and
maintenance of the device" on page 43).
Cutting long hair
Use the long hair trimmer 15 on the back of the shaver to shorten
your beard and sideburns.
1. Take off the protective lid 14.
2. Push the long hair trimmer 15 up.
3. Switch on the shaver with the on/off 6 switch.
4. After use, switch the device off, slide the long hair trim-
mer 15 back to its original position and clean the device
(Chapter "Cleaning and maintenance of the device" on
page 43).
