Formatting a SMC or built-in memory
You can use the MEMORY FORMAT functions to completely delete all
images and options on a SmartMediaCard and built-in memory,
including protected images.
The format function restores a SmartMediaCard and built-in memory to
initial state.
The SmartMediaCard supplied with this camcorder has already been
formatted.
Attention
If you execute the MEMORY FORMAT function,
all images will be completely erased and erased

images can not be recovered.

1. Set the mode switch to DSC.

2. Set the power switch to CAMERA mode.
3. Press the ENTER button to enter the menu
and select the MEMORY FORMAT.
4. Press the ENTER button.
The sub menu appears.
5. Using the MENU DIAL, select the item.
NO : To return to main menu
YES : To start formatting.
6. Press the ENTER button.
"DO YOU FORMAT" appears on the
screen.
7. Using the MENU DIAL, select YES or NO and press the ENTER button.
If you select YES, Formatting starts and "MEMORY FORMAT" is
blinking on the screen.
If you select NO, you return to sub menu.

8. To exit the menu, press the MENU ON/OFF button.

SmartMedia-Karte oder internen Speicher formatieren
Mit der Menüoption MEMORY FORMAT können Sie alle auf einer
SmartMedia-Karte oder im internen Speicher vorhandenen Daten
löschen. Auch löschgeschützte Bilder werden beim Formatieren
gelöscht.
Beim Formatieren werden die SmartMedia-Karte bzw. der interne
Speicher wieder in den Ursprungszustand versetzt.
Die mit diesem Camcorder gelieferte SmartMedia-Karte wurde
werkseitig formatiert.
Achtung
Wenn Sie die Funktion MEMORY FORMAT aus-
führen, werden alle Bilder gelöscht und können
nicht wiederhergestellt werden.
1. Stellen Sie den Funktionsschalter auf
MEMORY FORMAT
DSC.
2. Stellen Sie den Betriebsmodus-Schalter
auf CAMERA.

YES
3. Drücken Sie MENU ON/OFF, um das
Menü aufzurufen. Wählen Sie mit dem
SEL : ENTER
: MENU
Menü-Einstellrad MEMORY FORMAT.
4. Drücken Sie ENTER.
5. Wählen Sie mit dem Menü-Einstellrad die
Option NO oder YES aus.
NO: Damit kehren Sie zum
MEMORY FORMAT
YES: Damit starten Sie das Formatieren.
6. Drücken Sie ENTER.
"DO YOU FORMAT?" wird angezeigt.
ENTER.
YES: Der Formatiervorgang beginnt; die Anzeige MEMORY blinkt.
NO: Damit kehren Sie zum Untermenü zurück.
