CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the appliance after each use in order to prevent the accumulation of grease, food
residue and the occurrence of an unpleasant smell.
Do not submerge the cord, plug or control panel into water or any other liquid.
Prior to cleaning, make sure the appliance has cooled and is unplugged from the wall
outlet.
1. Remove the lid.
2. Remove the basket and frying unit (Fig. 3).
3. Pour the oil or shortening into a container for storing oil or into a sealed container for
later disposal.
4. Take the removable control panel with electronics off.
Note: Upon each oil replacement, it is suitable to wash the frying unit and basket with
dish detergent. Clean the surface of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use steel
wool or scouring pads, abrasive solutions or solvents. Before assembling the parts,
allow all of the parts to dry thoroughly.
All of the parts, except for the control panel and permanent filter, can be washed
in the dishwasher. In order to protect the non-adhesive layer of the frying unit, do
not use intensive programmes! Before you assemble the deep fryer, make sure the
individual parts are completely dry.
5. Wipe the removable control panel with a moist cloth or absorbent paper. Do not
submerge this part into water or any other liquid. Perform the cleaning procedure on
a dry surface in order to prevent accidental drop and damages to parts.
6. The deep fryer is equipped with a lid and permanent filter which is suitable for regular
washing. The lid itself can be washed in the dishwasher. Proceed as follows. Remove
the lid, press the steam outlet latch on the top side, remove the steam outlet and
filter (Fig. 4). Submerge the filter in hot water with detergent and let soak for several
minutes. Then rinse the filter under clean water and let dry thoroughly.
