CONNECTING THE METER

The MSK 105 is connected to the antenna socket and by a short antenna metering cable to the
satellite antenna which is to be set. It is preferable to plug a satellite receiver into the reception-side
receiver socket in order to supply the meter and the LNB with power. To this end the receiver should
be switched "ON". Now the meter is ready for use. It sends the necessary control signals for activating
the LNB and evaluates the signal that is received. The satellite antenna can thus be aligned to the
desired satellite.
After successful alignment of the antenna, the meter must not remain in the antenna cable, since
the LNB control signals required for operation of the receiver cannot be looped through the meter
in the direction of the LNB. Therefore the antenna cable must be connected directly to the receiver or
the satellite splitter.
