Transport

For transport purposes, the connection cables must be
removed from the back of the device. In addition, the
KTS 650 should only be transported and stored in the
supplied case.

Start-up

Connection

Make sure before starting up for the first time that the
mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the
power pack (use mains connecting cable included).

The delivery specification only includes the German
mains connecting cable.

Installation of operating system

1. Connect power pack
2. After switching on for the first time, select the
language of the Windows operating system via
the language selection menu and following the
instructions on the screen.

It is not possible to subsequently change the
language. However, should this be necessary, please
contact your Bosch authorized dealer.
3. After installing the operating system, the
touchscreen needs to be adjusted. For adjustment,
follow the instructions on the screen.

The KTS 650 remains in the start screen "Diagnostic
Software Selection" after starting the system. This
start screen will always be displayed after switching
on.

Before you can operate ESI[tronic], you must
first release the software. To this end please note
the ESI[tronic] "ESI[tronic]-Setup & Installation"
operating instructions included as part of the starter
package.
. Notes on Windows Control Panel
(Control panel)
On the KTS 650, the "Control panel" menu can be
found in the Windows start menu under "Programs"
and not as usual under "Settings". When calling up the
"Control panel" you will receive a warning with the
message that, under certain circumstances the device
will no longer work properly, if you change certain
parameters.

Changes in the menus of "Control panel" can lead
to the device no longer functioning properly. Repairs
resulting from this will be chargeable.
