►►Competition Geometry
The Competition Geometry of the XC
racing models is matched to the
demands of racing orientated frame
geometries. A longer top tube creates a
more stretched riding position and the
simultaneous use of a shorter stem leads
to a more direct steering action. The
lengthened wheelbase ensures a
smoother ride at high speeds and re-
duces the roll-over effect on steep gradients.
►► ODT-Technology (Oversized Double Tube
Bottom Bracket)
Complex manufactured ODT-Bottom bracket
(Oversized Double Tube) with an enlarged outer
diameter which increases the bottom bracket
rigidity
►► 3D MDI-Technology Dropouts (Multiple Dropout Inlays)
3-D dropouts allow the use of wheels with
various axle systems. And in return a faster
and easier realisation of individual
requirements. Exchangeable inserts for
different quick-releases and shafts are
available. At the same time, the anodised
inserts provide mechanical protection on
both sides for all ROTWILD models since
2004.
►►TAS Through Axle System
The TAS-Axle system was specially developed
for cross-country and marathon use. The
weight of both axles is well below that of
conventional quick release axles (front 32 g and
rear 43 g). The advantage: The torsional rigidity
of the forks is significantly improved during
braking with disc brakes, which clearly
improves the sag performance when braking.
