►► CFP Chain- and Seatstays
Using Carbon Fibre reinforced plastic (CFP) is
not new to ROTWILD. Since 2003 we use
CFP within the rear frame construction with
its asymmetrically aligned chain and
seatstays. This organic component design is
exploiting the specific properties of fibre
composites in the best possible way and
outperforms those from conventional mate-
rials (e.g. steel or aluminum). The result is a
weight reduction of 30% when compared with aluminium constructions. Based on
the positive experiences we've made in the meantime we are able to implement a
CFP rear suspension in every full suspension bike (expt. R.E.D.) – even within our
downhill bike.
►► Active Linkage System
Marathon race, cross country or all mountain:
Approved in our lightweight race bikes we
have extended our ROTWILD bike collection
with the ACTIVE LINKAGE System. The
ACTIVE LINKAGE system is one of the most
responsive suspension systems. The
construction is based on an active kinematic
system and is characterized by a maximum
of efficient traction and sufficient riding
comfort – with outstanding performance for a
wide range if biking.
►► X-Linkage System
The requirements are obvious: no riding
influences, maximum power transmission
and a sensitive response characteristic.
The right position of pivot points, which
consider important dynamic loads (anti
squad, anti dive, pedal response), are
those decisive parameters for a good
working full suspension bike. The
ROTWILD X-LINKAGE four pivot point
system provides a maximum of traction and control for a travel of 150 mm and
above. We adapted our tried and tested carbon fibre technology to the extreme loads
of freeride and enduro. With the dynamic and durable X-LINKAGE the ROTWILD
philosophy of independent improvement continues – as a new evolutionary step on
our way to the ultimative freeride bike.
