discharges into a common rail. The injectors under test are connected to the common rail and they
discharge into the AVM2 metering unit in order to determine the injector delivery. See figure 3.3.
Hartridge kits are available which contain the electrical controls for the pump and injectors. The
electrical pump controls, including pressure, are all presented to the operator via the AVM2 interface.
The injector parameters are also set by the operator via the AVM2 and the results are presented on
the AVM2 screen.

3.2.3 Electrical Circuit

The Guard Interface PCB can be split into 2 parts. The first part controls the safety interlocking of the
guard, as described in Section 3.1 above, connected to the guard via socket EXT1. EXT1 also
provides the 110/132 V AC supply to the dump valve solenoid, direct from the SCB2.
NOTE The connection from socket EXT1 on the rear of the console to the guard switch loom
can either be made by loom A069B814 (part of HB378), or via an external control box.
In the latter case the necessary leads will be supplied with the control box.
The second part of the Guard Interface PCB provides an 18V power supply output to EXT2, and
switches any external PPR input from EXT2 to the MCB4. If external PPR is not present, the MCB4
receives the 128 PPR signal from the SCB2 as normal. EXT2 also provides a communication link
direct to the spare PC COM port.
