2.3 Installing the Safety Guard (HB378 and HB422)
The guard is designed to fit on the machine bedplate around the standard pump mounting bracket
APB28. Refer to Figure 2.4.
1. Ensure that the bed and table area is clear and the metering arm is positioned out of the way.
Disconnect the test oil supply/return pipes from the bulkhead. Disconnect the phasing pressure
hose and blank off the phasing pressure outlet.
2. Lift the guard onto the machine with the front panel (with the large u-shaped cut out) in front of the
mounting bracket.
CAUTION! The guard is heavy and should be lifted on/off the machine by 2 people.
3. Secure the guard to the bed by tightening the rear clamp.
