If a trolley is used to move the appli-

ance, the appliance must be lifted as
shown on the packaging. If the dry-
er cannot be transported upright, en-
sure that it is not tilted more than 30°.
Exercise caution when moving the ap-

pliance. Do not lift or pull the dryer by
any of its protruding parts. The dryer
door must not be used as a carrying
handle.
The appliance must not be installed
■
behind a lockable door, a sliding door
or a door with a hinge on the oppo-
site side to that of the tumble dryer,
in such a way that a full opening of
the tumble dryer door is restricted.
• Check whether the paths of transport and
the installation location are suitable for the
weight of the dryer . If in doubt, ask your
landlord or property management .
Installation and connection
Installing the dryer
– The following are required for a success-
ful installation: You have read the chapter
"Safety" from page EN-4 and understood
all safety instructions .
– The place of installation must be frost-
proof .
– Ideally, the dryer should be installed next to
your washing machine .
– There must be a siphon or a utility sink for
connecting the discharge hose .
– The mains plug must also be easily acces-
sible once the appliance has been set up .
– The ground must be secure, even, clean
and dry . The dryer must not be placed on
a surface that is sloping, flexible or uneven .
– Ensure that air can circulate freely in the
dryer's immediate surroundings .
– The ventilation grilles on the dryer's front
and back must not be obstructed .
– The feet must not be removed from the
dryer .
– The dryer should not be placed on a carpet
or carpeted flooring, otherwise the appli-
ance may overheat due to insufficient ven-
tilation . The floor clearance must not be
restricted by objects such as carpets and
wood strips .
Levelling the dryer
1 . Use a spirit level to check whether the
dryer is level .
2 . To level the dryer, use your hand or a
spanner to turn the levelling feet inwards
or outwards .
To adjust a levelling foot
– turn anticlockwise to unscrew;
– turn clockwise to screw in .
3 . Repeat this for the other levelling feet until
the dryer is level and stable .
