With the operation completed, perform a thorough control of
all seals of the combustion product evacuation and air suction
pipes by performing a combustion analysis.
NOTE: If the fan is removed, make sure the check valve is put back
in the correct direction (see fig. 29).

COMMISSIONING
4.1
First commissioning preparation
Before the ignition and the functional testing of the boiler it is neces-
sary to:
- Check that the system's fuel and water supply taps are open (fig. A).
fig. A
- Check that the gas type and the power supply pressure are those
for which the boiler is designed.
- Check that the deaerator cap is open.
- Check that the pressure of the water circuit when cold, displayed
on the water gauge, is between 1 bar and 1.5 bar and that the
circuit is de-aerated
- Check that the pre-loading of the expansion tank is adequate (see
"Technical data" table).
- Check that the electrical connections have been carried out cor-
rectly
- Check that the combustion product outlet and air suction pipes
were adequately realised
- Check that the circulator rotates freely because, especially after
long periods of non-operation, deposits and/or debris can prevent
free rotation.
Possible blocking of the circulator shaft (fig. B)

fig. B
- Insert a screwdriver in the hole (1) of the circulator
- Press (a) and turn the screwdriver (b) until the release of the crank-
shaft.
Perform this operation with extreme caution to avoid damaging
the components.

First commissioning

When the boiler is first started the siphon for collecting the con-
densate is empty.
It is therefore indispensable to create a head of water filling the
siphon before starting up, following these instructions:
- remove the siphon by releasing it from the plastic pipe con-
necting to the combustion chamber
- fill the siphon about 3/4" full with water, making sure it is free
of any impurities
- check the float of the plastic cylinder
- put back the siphon, being careful not to empty it, and secure
it with the clip.

The plastic cylinder inside the siphon has the job of preventing com-
bustible gas coming out into the surroundings if the appliance is start-
ed without first creating the head of water in the siphon.
Repeat this operation during routine and extraordinary maintenance
operations.
- Position the mode selector (1 - fig. C) to

fig. C
- Position the system's master switch to the "on" position.
- Adjust the ambient thermostat to the desired temperature (~20°C)
or, if the system is equipped with a programmable thermostat or
timer, make sure it is "active" and adjusted (~20°C)
- Position the mode selector (1 - fig. C) to
ter) depending on the type of operation chosen.
- Every time the boiler is powered, an automatic bleed cycle begins
(lasting about 2 minutes).
- The two digits on the display light up alternately during this phase
(fig. D).

- To interrupt the automatic venting cycle, unscrew the 4 Allen
screws (A), remove the control panel (B) and press the combus-
tion analysis button "CO" (C) (fig. E).

SUMMER
: with selector in this position, only the conventional
domestic hot water function is activated. The display alternates be-
tween the DHW temperature (fig. F) and the preheating status (P0
not active, P1 active - fig. H).
WINTER
: with selector in this position, both the heating and do-
mestic hot water functions are activated. The display shows the out-
let temperature of the heating water (fig. G) and the domestic hot
water (fig. F) alternately to the preheating status (P0 not active, P1
active - fig. H).
ON-OFF PRE-HEATING MODE
the domestic hot water exchanger hot, to reduce standby times when
a request is made.
By turning the selector to this position it is possible to activate or de-
activate the pre-heating (P0 not active, P1 active - fig. H) in summer
and in winter.
