7. Operation
7.1 Start page

The initialization of the software is displayed approx.
20 seconds after switching on the ROLL F4 M. The
start page is displayed after a further 40 seconds.

If the image does not appear correctly, carry out
self-calibration of the monitor (making reference to
the monitor user manual).
The following menus can be selected on the start page:
Symbol Designation Access to menu
Wheel Balancing program
Balancing
Settings and Personal settings, calibration and
service customer service.

7.2.1 Status bar
The following information is displayed depending on
the menu selected:
+
Current user.
+
Vehicle selected.
+
Balancing program selected.
+
Number of wheel spokes selected in "Split
program".
7.2.2 Display field
The following information is displayed here:
+
Rim data and positioning of electronic vernier
caliper/Angular width gauge.
+
Information on positioning and mass of the balance
weights.
7.2.3 Soft key bar
The soft key bar indicates the functions available in
the corresponding menu. The functions are started by
pressing the function keys.
7.2.4 EXIT key
Symbol Description
Press < I > to return to the previous
page.
Pressing this key terminates the menu selected and
returns to the previous page.

Values are only confirmed with < I >.

Control panel

The ROLL F4 M is operated by way of the < I > key
and the arrow keys. The corresponding functions are
described in Table 1.

Arrow keys Navigation in the menus and alteration of the

< I > Confirmation of settings.
Starts measurement.
Ends measurement.
