Afterwards, communication can be restarted within
10 s, after which the system switches off (the LED
goes off).
Calibrating the audio levels
- Activate the receivers and select the talk-listen
operating mode.
- Adjust the volumes on the entry panel in the talk-
listen mode.
- Go to the hands-free mode and check the regu-
larity of switching from one channel to another.
- If there is difficulty in getting the line in one of the
two directions, increase the volume slightly in the
direction where you have difficulty and reduce it in
the other direction.
In combined systems (receivers and hands-free)
we recommend you first adjust the communication
levels for the hands-free system.
If necessary, adjust the volumes on the entry panel
to achieve a better compromise.
VIDEO ENTRY PANEL HEVC/301
Video entry control panel with one button, equip-
ped with CCD colour camera and white light LED
to illuminate the subject.
Teamed with button plates HEP/306-HEP/312D,
installations with up to 64 users can be set up.
For connections to user extensions the entry panel
uses BPT X1 TECHNOLOGY bus connection, ena-
bling all signals involved in installation to be sent
along a telephone-type single twisted pair line.
An additional three video-entry or audio-only entry
panels can be added to the first in series without
the need for other equipment (selectors, distribu-
tors).
The entry panel comes ready to house the KHSO
luminous system busy warning kit and 1 KHPS (or
1 KHPD) call kit.
The entry panel comes complete with:
- CCD camera with ±11° manual angle adjust-
ment both horizontally and vertically (fig. 4), with
fixed-focus lens (see fig. 5 for dimensions of the
target area);
- phonic unit;
- infrared LED for lighting the target area;
- three potentiometers for the following functions
(fig. 4 and 6):
volume control at entry panel;
volume control at receiver;
P1 timed (in the range 1 to 15 s) solenoid door-
lock release.
The entry panel comes with system busy and
door-lock release buzzer.
The wires supplied make it simple to connect the
entry panel's various component units.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
NVM/301+NC/321 HANDS-FREE COLOUR
VIDEO HANDSET
The monitor module can be installed teamed with
twin-channel module NC/321 in an embedding
box (fig. 7), or on its own teamed with the twin-
channel module (fig. 2).
In the latter case, the distance bet-ween the mod-
ules will depend on the length (24 cm) of the cable
supplied.
Recess the embedding box flush with the wall at a
suitable height for the user.
ATTENTION
- If you need to remove the installed adaptors,
proceed as shown in figure 8.
- If it is necessary to extract the frame modu-
les, use the locking tabs and push from the
rear (figure 9).
Examples
of
assembly
NVM/301+NC/321 in a standard six-module
embedding box with a number of commercially
available front plates (fig. 10÷16).
WARNING.
When using:
- BTICINO front plates (Living International or
Light series), eliminate the fastenings 1 and 3
shown in fig. 17;
- BTICINO Matix series front plates, eliminate the
fastenings 1-2-3 shown in fig. 17;
- GEWISS Playbus series front plates, eliminate
the fastenings 1-2-3-4 shown in fig. 17;
- GEWISS Playbus Young series front plates, eli-
minate the fastenings 2 and 4 indicated in fig. 17;
4
- VIMAR Plana series front plates, eliminate the
fastening 1 shown in fig. 17.
- Plates of the Elos series: eliminate the side tab in
the 6.5 mm adaptor (detail in figure 16) and elimi-
nate the hooks listed in figure 18.
Examples of installation of the NVM/301 moni-
tor module or of the NC/321 hands free module
in a unified recessed box of three modules with
a number of plates on the market (figures
19÷27).
WARNING
- For the GEWISS plates of the Playbus series
(fig. 23) and ABB plates of the Elos series
(fig. 27) eliminate the joining rods of the
adaptor.
- When using GEWISS plates of the Playbus
and Playbus Young series, eliminate the
hooks indicated in figure 28.

The embedding box must be fitted flush with the
wall and at an height that ensure optimal camera
operation. Fit the spacer into embedding boxes to
avoid deformation (fig. 29).
It is possible to use the screwdriver obtained from
the spacer to adjust the microphone and speaker
volume (fig. 4).
WARNING. Connecting cables must be fed
through one of the knockout cable entry points,
located at the bottom of the embedding box (A in
fig. 29).
Using the Allenkey s 2.5 supplied, unscrew the lock
screw and remove the front plate from the chassis
(fig. 30).
In order to fit additional buttons, follow the instruc-
tions supplied with each.
Remove the two plugs protecting the threaded
holes in the embedding box and secure the chas-
sis using the two screws supplied (fig. 31).
Perform the wiring. The name card can be remo-
ved and filled in with the relevant information by
removing the card clip followed by the actual card
itself (fig. 32).
NOTE. Personalized name cards can be used up
to a maximum of 2 mm thick.
In order to fit the front plate, first insert the upper
part in the top moulding and then, using a Allenkey
s 2.5, tighten the lock screw (fig. 33).
