Installation / Assembly

All installation work is to be carried out by a licensed electrician.
To install the grounding kit you will need an open-ended wrench with a width AF of 10 (M6).
1. Start by switching the solar inverter off by disconnecting the AC on the mains side. Then disconnect the
DC connection plug from the solar inverter (for details see the corresponding chapter in the operation and
installation manual of your solar inverter).
2. Disconnect the PV generator on the positive and negative side from the solar inverter.
3. Wait 1 minute (discharge time).
4. Take hold of the SOLIVIA grounding kit and screw it tight to the solar inverter (torque of 6.2 Nm).

5. Please note that the grounding kit contains 2 connection cables. Please choose the appropriate grounding
cable as specified by the PV module manufacturer.
6. Connect the cable supplied with Tyco Solarlok connectors onto the SOLIVIA grounding kit and use either
the Multi-Contact MC4 positive or negative cable as specified by the PV manufacturer.
