Preparations for installation

Prolonged sun exposure could damage the material of
which is made the spa shell, due to its capacity to absorb heat
(dark colours in particular). Don't leave the spa to sun ex-
posure without adequate protection when not in use (cov-
er thermal, gazebo, etc.). Any damage arising by not fol-
lowing these warnings are not covered by the guarantee.
For indoor installation, it is necessary to remember
that water evaporation from the spa (especially where
high temperatures are involved) can cause very high lev-
els of humidity. Natural or forced ventilation helps to
maintain personal comfort and reduce damage to the
building. Jacuzzi Europe refuses all responsibility for any
damage caused by excessive humidity. Consult a spe-
cialist for indoor installation.
I
Hot tub
The spas of the "Experience" range can also be installed with the
tub edge flush with the floor. Refer to the drilling template shown
i
in
6.
In any case, keep in mind that the spa-pak and the balance tank
must be placed at a lower level (
retainer tub, they can remain on the same level as the hot tub.
N.B. Since the sizes may vary slightly, always check the measure-
ments before installing the hot tub.
Make sure that the plumbing under the tub is accessible, for exam-
ple, by preparing a passage (
perimeter that is sufficiently wide (about 80 cm) to make operations
easy. This passage can be closed using removable under-frames
(detail 3), with suitable supports (detail 4). Drainage for any water
stagnation must also be provided (detail 5).
If it is to be floor-installed, it will be necessary to fill in the outer perimeter
of the tub, using removable panels all along the perimeter.
In any case, you will require a support base below the tub bottom (in

concrete, steel beams,
supports provided to support the tub edge, positioned as shown in
detail 6. The realization of the support base must take into account
the position of the support feet (
ing into account the table "Weights" shown above.
Study the routes and dig any necessary holes and channels for the
water and electric connections for the spa and the Spa-Pak, with the
balance tank and the ground drainage points, taking into account
that:
- the plumbing pipes are those shown in
be placed so as to avoid siphons. This does not apply to the blow-
er, which does require a blower (

- buttons (

installed near the spa, and that will be connected to a specific box
(supplied with the spa-pak, it can be wall-mounted or installed

under the tub,
2-2a, detail. 2a). This box must then be con-
nected to the electrical box on the spa-pak by means of a multi-
polar normalized cable 6x0.75 mm

- the spotlight box of the spa (located under the tub) must be con-
nected to the electrical box on the spa-pak by means of a nor-
malized bi-polar cable 2x1.5 mm
- A cable track must also be provided for electrical connections from the
balance tank to the electric wiring box on the Spa-Pak (8 standard
leads, with a minimum section of 1.5 mm
- Spa-pak "booster kit": in the instance where a spa-pak
"booster kit" is also installed, a separate supply line must be
provided and it must be connected to the main spa-pak; refer
to the relative documentation.
I
Spa-pak / Spa pak "booster kit"
For correct spa-pak operation, comply with the dimen-
sions provided in the respective table
the shorter the hoses are, the smaller the loss of load will be. We rec-
ommend that you avoid bends, as far as possible, (we suggest you
use flexible PVC hoses).
In the instance where the main spa-pak has a heat exchanger for
heating water, it is necessary to connect the primary circuit to the
system which supplies hot water, in addition to connecting the elec-
trical box with devices (solenoid valve, motor pump) that control the
recirculation of the hot water in the exchanger's primary circuit.
Water connections for the Spa-Pak must also include the connection
between the filter and a ground drainage point.
Spa-Pak must always be installed in a ventilated indoor
area, which is not accessible to persons without a key or
tools and it must be protected from water and bad weather
(see note "Spa-Pak and the balance tank" in the previous chapter).
For perfect operation of the system, the Spa-Pak must be installed at
the same level as the balance tank
ence.
I
The balance tank
If possible, it must be installed near the hot tub to optimise efficien-
cy (the excess water will drop down into the retainer tub). For cor-
rect operation of the balance tank, comply with the
dimensions provided in the respective tables
If the balance tank is installed outside, a suitable system
must be provided to protect it against the sun's rays and
ultraviolet radiation, to prevent damaging the container.

Electrical safety

The spas of the Experience range are safe products, manufactured in
compliance with standards EN 60335.2.60, EN 61000, EN 55014 and
tested during production to ensure their safety.
I
Installation must be carried out by qualified and authorized personnel,
in compliance with the national provisions in force.
It is the responsibility of the installer to choose the mate-
rials in relation to their use, to carry the work out cor-
rectly, to check the condition of the system to which the
appliance is to be connected and its suitability and to
