Fuel filter replacement

Service interval: Every 100 hours
The fuel filter (H) is located in the fuel line between the
fuel tank and the carburetor.
If filter is dirty or clogged, replace as follows:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Place a container below the filter to catch spilled fuel.
3. Using a pliers, open and slide hose clamps from
fuel filter.
4. Remove hoses from filter.
5. Install new filter in proper flow direction in fuel line.
6. Secure with hose clamps.
7. Reconnect the negative battery cable when finished.

Battery maintenance

Service interval: Every 100 hours
1. First, disconnect the negative battery
cable (A) from the battery terminal (B).
Second, disconnect the positive battery
cable (C) from the battery terminal (D).
2. Remove the battery hold-down rods (F) and hold-down
bar (E). Remove battery from the engine
compartment.
3. Clean the compartment with a solution of baking soda
and water. Clean the battery terminals (B and D) and
cables (A and C) with a wire brush and battery
terminal cleaner until shiny.
4. Reinstall the battery in the battery compartment.
Secure with the battery hold-down rods (F) and hold-
down bar (E).
5. First, reconnect the positive battery
cable (C) to the positive battery
terminal (D). Slide the terminal cover (G)
into place. Second, reconnect the
negative battery cable (A) to the negative battery
terminal (B).
