3.5.2 Installing locking pawl cable
1. Pull the cable through all cable guides in accordance
with the cable routing diagram.

6 Latching mechanism at secondary column
Control column:
2. Fit the cable at the control column as shown
in Fig. 20.

Firmly tighten the lower threaded nipple (4).
Make sure the wire loop is properly positioned in
the recess of the pin. Do not yet tighten the upper
threaded nipple (1).
Secondary column:
3. Fit the cable at the secondary column as shown in
Fig. 21.
4. Tension the cable and tighten the threaded
nipple (3).
5. Actuate the control lever and check operation
of the locking pawl. Re-adjust if necessary.
Control column:
6. Press down and tighten the upper threaded
nipple (1).
7. Actuate the control lever and check operation of
both locking pawls. Re-adjust if necessary.
