4.5 STARTING THE MACHINE
Check to make sure that the brakes are efficient before moving
off.
Parking brake (N° 6 fig.1) depressed.
Disengage the clutch by depressing pedal N° 19 fig.1.
Select the speed range by means of the reduction gear - reverse shuttle lever
(N° 17 fig.1). Position (see fig.8):
L = Low
H = High
REV= Reverse
Engage the required speed using the speed selector lever (N° 16 fig.1). Position:
1-4 to engage the 1st of 4th speed gear or the 1st Reverse gear depending on
the position of the reduction gear – reverse shuttle lever.
2-5 to engage the 2nd or 5th speed gear or the 2nd Reverse gear depending on
the position of the reduction gear – reverse shuttle lever.
3-6 to engage the 3rd or 6th speed gear or the 3rd Reverse gear depending on
the position of the reduction gear – reverse shuttle lever.
