5.4 Functions of the system menu
The following general settings can be made by means of the system
menu (fig . 7) . Use the button MENU (4) to call up the menu and the
button EXIT (4) to exit the menu . Press the button MENU repeatedly
to select a menu item .
5.4.1 Saving configurations
Unless a specific switch-on preset is defined (
settings made at the DSP-26 will remain in force after switch-off . In
addition, it is possible to save various configurations as a "preset" at
the unit: The settings made by means of the menu for the inputs and
outputs as well as any muting of the outputs will be saved .
The configurations saved at the unit can also be used when the
DSP-26 is operated by remote control from the computer (
ter 6 .3 .2 ., UNIT PRESETS) .
To save a preset:
1) Call up the menu item
2) Use the rotary knob SELECT/ ENTER (3) to select a storage location
and then press the button to confirm . If you do not want to over-
write a saved configuration, select a free storage location (

Note: Depending on the access rights of the current access level, the storage
function may be locked generally or for a defined storage location

3) Enter a name for the preset or, if required, change the existing
name:
– Use the rotary knob SELECT/ ENTER to select a character (upper-
case letter, lowercase letter, digit or special character) .
– Press the rotary knob to go to the next character .
– Use the button EXIT to go to the previous character position .
To delete the entire entry, go to the first character position and
press the button EXIT .
– Use the button MENU to confirm the final character of the name
and to terminate the entry .
Note: To overwrite characters you may have accidentally entered at the end
of a preset name, use the blank character . It can be found after the
lowercase letters, following the character "}" .
4) The following message will appear on the display:
Save Preset ?
no/YES
To save the preset, press the rotary knob SELECT/ ENTER .
To cancel, rotate the rotary knob SELECT/ ENTER so that the follow-
ing message appears on the display:
Save Preset ?
NO/yes
Then press the knob .
5) When the preset has been saved,
appear on the display .

5.4.2 Loading saved configurations
CAUTION Prior to loading a configuration, always check wheth-
that an output configured to control a tweeter becomes the bass
frequency output in a different configuration; tweeters connected
to the output may then be overloaded .
To load a saved configuration:
1) Call up the menu item
2) Use the rotary knob SELECT/ ENTER (3) to select a storage location
and press the knob to confirm .
