> Use an appropriate tool to pull the bearing housing (8) out of the outer tube.
> Press the closed bearing (9) out of the inner tube and pull out completely with slight
rotating movements.
> On F 427 S3A: Remove the PTFE seal.
> On F 427 S3 and F 427 S4: Do not remove the shaft seal.

Note
The maximum temperature for cleaning of barrel pump F 427 is 130 ° C.
It is possible to sterilise the pump in the autoclave through:
radiation
•
dry heating
•
gas treatment
•
and chemical treatment.

Assembly of pump F 427 after cleaning
> On F 427 S3A: Reinsert the PTFE seal.
> Push the closed bearings (1) into the inner tube and position them on the inner
tube by gently turning them.
> Screw the bearing (2) (coupling cage with ball bearing) onto the shaft (3) and tight-
en it slightly.
