Electrical connection
The electrical connection is only allowed to be made by author-
i sed personnel trained in EMC.
Isolate the machine or system and secure against switch on
w hen the safety system IN 4000 is installed, setup or maintained.
3.1

Installation and mounting

Mount evaluation unit in a housing or control cabinet with enclo-
sure rating IP 54 or better on a 35-mm DIN rail.
3.2

Power supply

The supply voltage must be an earthed safety extra-low voltage
( PELV).
Connect supply voltage using V+ and GND and protect with appro-
priate fuse depending on the number of sensors connected (see
section 5.1 "Technical specifications").
3.3 Connection of safety sensors or chains of
safety sensors
Only one safety sensor can be supplied with power per module;
all other safety sensors connected must be supplied with power
s eparately.
The terminals P1 and P2 on module C1 are not allowed to be
b ridged. Any jumpers fitted are to be removed.
Safety sensors or chains of safety sensors are connected to terminals
A1 to A6. GND and L– are connected internally.
