2.3 Status indicators
The relay evaluation unit IN 40-R has several LED status indicators for
indicating operating states and supporting commissioning and fault
diagnostics.
LED
B1 yellow PSDI output; starts to flash approx. 5 s after the ap-
plication of the supply voltage; the PSDI signal is then
applied to the safety sensors connected
B2 green enable information; flashes on enable of the safety
sensors/chain of safety sensors 1 to 3
B3 green enable information; flashes on enable of the safety
sensors/chain of safety sensors 4 to 6
B4 red error indication; illuminates when the safety system
IN 4000 is not ready. This is the case if
after the initial application of the supply voltage,
the safety sensors or chains of safety sensors have
not yet been checked or enabled
an error has been detected during operation
B5 green internal supply voltage; illuminates when supply volt-
age is present
B6 green output relay; illuminates when output relay is swit-
ched
