The Cheetah Knee is referred to as the device in the following. This
document provides you important information on the indication for use,
alignment, setup and handling of the device. This manual is intended for
use by a certified prosthetist and the user of the device. The device
should only be fitted and aligned by a certified prosthetist. Read this
document carefully and follow the safety instructions.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The device is a polycentric (four bar) mechanical prosthetic knee. It is
intended to extend user activity to sport specific application such as long
distance running and sprinting. The device is suitable for multi-speed
ambulation, high impact levels and heavy loading.

General Safety Instructions
Make sure that the end user of the device knows how the device
functions and how to operate with it. Please inform the end user about
all safety instructions before he starts using the device.
Make sure that the user is instructed to contact his/her prosthetist if
experiencing change in performance of the device
Inform the end user to never operate this product if it is not working
properly, if it has been dropped or damaged. In such cases the product
should be returned to the healthcare provider for examination.
Caution: Avoid placing hands or fingers near moving joints.
FUNCTIONS
The device provides stability in stance through alignment with four bar
geometry and provides adjustable extension and flexion swing rate
through hydraulic damping system. The device allows for smooth
transition from walking to running and will accommodate for rapid
flexion and extension.
