Your Albrecht AE 5290 XL corresponds to the latest European CB standards. As a unique
feature, it has a country switch which allows selecting the operation mode according to the
country, where You intend to use the radio. Please make sure that You use the country
switching procedure for the correct setting after first installation!
80/40 (01) 80 channels FM / 4 Watt, 80 AM receive, 40 channels AM / 1 Watt.
40/40 (02) 40 channels FM / 4 Watt, 40 channels AM / 1 Watt. Latest European
40 FM (03) 40 channels FM / 4 Watt (former "CEPT" settings with 40 Channels FM

Your new Albrecht CB Radio AE 5290 XL, developed and manufactured in accordance with
the latest CB regulations, offers you:
• 40 channels FM / 4 Watt
• 80 channels FM / 4 Watt / 80 AM receive /40 channels AM transmit / 1 Watt
• 40 channels FM / 4 Watt / 40 channels AM / 1 Watt
• 40 channels FM / 4 Watt / 40 channels AM / 4 Watt
• 40 channels FM / 4 Watt / 40 channels AM / 4 Watt
• Channel selection knob on the radio set and UP/DOWN buttons on the
microphone
• Channel scan up and down the frequencies
• 5 freely programmable memory positions for stored stations
• Multifunction LCD display with 2 colour switching (switch on rear side)

Important Note

You can operate the radio free of licence or charges in this switch
position in Germany. Only in certain border regions use of this radio as
base station, transmitting on channels 41 to 80 in FM, is not allowed or
you need a special licence for this application.
In Czechia 80/40 switch position is allowed, but only 80 FM are allowed
to be used
Standard EN 300 433-2, not yet applied in all countries. In Belgium,
Italy, Spain and Switzerland inhabitants still need to have a CB licence
(while free for travellers), while it is already free of charges and licence
in Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Netherlands,
Poland, Portugal and Slovakia.
